Kuhn's Home Improvement has become an Owens Corning "Preferred Contractor". The Owens Corning Preferred Contractor Program is designed to recognize and support those professional contractors who meet a set of criteria that is designed to identify sound business operation and a history of customer focus.

The Preferred Protection Limited Warranty from Owens Corning provides 100% coverage of both materials and labor to install for up to 15 years (depending on the shingle) 

Only preferred contractors can offer this warranty.

Nicholas R. Kuhn, owner and founder of Kuhn's Home Improvement, has successfully passed Certainteed's "Master Shingle Applicator" Test.

Information tested is about hands-on installation, roof system knowledge, estimating, planning, and the business side of shingle application.

Nick has been given the National Leadership Award from congressman Tom DeLay.

It is given for outstanding service and commitment.

In 2002 Nick was given "Business Man of the Year" from Congressman Tom Reynolds.

He was invited to Washington D.C. in 2003 to personally receive "Business Man of the Year" a second time at a dinner with President Bush.

He has been nominated again for the award in 2004. It is given to top Business leaders in the United States in recognition of successful business practices.

Mr. Kuhn has also been made an Honorary Chairman on the NRCC'S (National Republican Congressional Committee) Business Advisory Council. He will be attending political strategy meetings with Republican Party Congressional Leaders, as well as participating in surveys and conference calls.
